Magnum 357 opening for Ice Cube!

icecube_357_web

Just when you thought you might not get to see Magnum live this summer, he will be headlining the Ice Cube concert next week at Theatre Telus on Thursday July 16th. You better believe that the building is going to be alive when a legendary artist such as Cube, one of the pioneers of gangster rap will be in the building and on the same stage as Montreal’s own voice of the streets. Some of the other opening acts include our Toronto homie Mayhem Morearty, local giants Bad News Brown and Sans Pression among others.

Tickets are going fast so if you want to get yours you better not sleep on it, get yours now at an affordable 52.50$. You may think its expensive but it’s a great cost to pay to witness history in Montreal while Cube tears it up infront of a limited capacity venue of 1000 lucky concertgoers. For more information you can visit the official website here, or the Facebook event here.

Magnum 357 & Revolver Muzik Records Invade Toronto for Stylus Weekend

mag357_camo

Where to begin… well Revolver Muzik Records invaded Toronto this past weekend for the Stylus Awards celebrations and got a bunch of work done. Just to keep all of the fans in the loop so you know we are putting in work even when you don’t see us, here is a small rundown of the weekend blog style. Friday night unfortunately our Slim from 112 show was canceled, basically due to some problems with the New Money & Arcpoint camps that we will not get into… we did however get some airtime with Theo3 on his Friday night show on CIUT 89.5 who showed us much love. Saturday we began by checking out the King of the Dot battle where Sam Osa and Loe Pesci had battles, and 357 was a guest judge for that… with no good news from the battles we proceeded to hit the studio with Soze to record a joint with Mosaic Music’s own Mayhem Morearty that y’all should be seeing soon. Proceeded by a sold out Home Nightclub that evening with none other than Barack O’Drama himself, DJ Drama.

Monday we hit the Cherry Beach Studios which is probably one of the nicest studios in Canada, where Drake is currently recording for his album and they have previously recorded with 50 Cent, Usher, Ludacris, Jonas Brothers among others, with another Montreal rep C4 Entertainment. Then rushing to the Stylus Awards that evening to do some much needed networking, and to help represent Real City to the fullest. I’m not going to divulge many of the details in between, but to sum up the weekend we got a surprising amount of love in the doT and we will be going back sooner than later. Congrats are in order for Montreal DJ of the year, DJ Payce and upcoming DJ Jemz who both took home awards, and I would also like to mention that DJ Kwite Sane, DJ Blaster, DJ BuddaBlaze, Bad News Brown, Labnoise, Jesse Walker, Imposs, DJ Dax and many others were in the building representing the way 514 should.

Expect to see a full video to show some of the footage from the weekend, as well expect a couple tracks coming soon with Mayhem, Navy Seals, Camouflage and more. We would also like to send out shouts to everyone in the tdot that showed love, especially Luck from CreamWorld, Soze Brooks from Mosaik Music & OnBlast, Mayhem Morearty, Camo, & the Deepwater crew, Meechie Mee,  Beat Merchant, Boy 1da, Luu Breeze, Nem-E-Sis, Deuce Deuce, Theo3, BFTS Radio, Click, Dub and everyone else out there repping and putting on for our city.

Here are some other pictures from the weekend as a preview of the video to come…
